Yahoo is not desperate for news.... It likes to spread the loooooove. Good on em
Gay pride. Is Yahoo that desperate for news? Maybe I'll switch to Hotmail or Gmail for real news!?
If you don't like gay issues, then Yahoo doesn't need you. They have millions more people who ARE interested in that sort of thing.
Reply:Feel free and go right ahead. It's not like you'll be missed around here or anything.
Reply:I'll take those well deserved two points now.
Reply:go for it...later!
Reply:Bye bye, now...
Reply:youre name is pud... laters........
Reply:Buh-Bye!
Reply:Im sure Yahoo wont miss you! Goodbye!
Reply:Why don't you switch to watching the News for real news?
Reply:As a gay Yahoo member, let me just say that I actually agree with you. I don't get the "pride" thing. I say, just live life and let everyone be. No need to make a big, in-your-face production about what sexuality you are, what race you are (white pride marches don't go over too well, do they?), what religion you are (are there Baptist or Catholic pride marches?), and so forth. What's with pride? I thought it was one of the Seven Deadlies.

Then again, no need to leave Yahoo if you're that comfortable with it otherwise. But, to each his own. I like Yahoo's layout, search options, email storage capacity, spam filtering, and so forth.

So, gay news or now...I'll stay. :)
Reply:I have the same question? I have much respect for the Yahoo community, but why are we having to look at the homosexual community? There are many many topics that can be useful and relevant to our community...
Reply:No The Gay Pride Festival is coming up soon.(which is news)

Reply:Bye, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Which email is better - AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail?

AOL - Unlimited email space, Unlimited photo space, IMAP/POP3 support, free you@yourname ID.

Yahoo - Unlimited email space, Limited photo space, No IMAP/POP3 support, Chargable you@yourname ID.

Hotmail - Limited email space, Limitied photo space, No IMAP/POP3 support, Selected personal ID.

Gmail - Growing email space, No photo space, IMAP/POP3 support, No you@yourname ID.

How to track or trace hotmail, yahoo, gmail hackers?
Gmail should have the ip address record.

Just click the small details link at the bottom, and kick the hacker out.

and make sure your PassWord is 8 characters or longer and don't make the password simple.

Is the a way i can link my microsoft office outlook with my yahoo email account or hotmail account or gmail?
The ability to access Yahoo! Mail via a POP3 email client (such as Outlook or Outlook Express) is only available to customers of our premium Yahoo! Mail Plus service.

If you have not purchased the Yahoo! Mail Plus service, you will be unable to retrieve messages via an email client. To determine whether or not you have purchased this service, please visit the My Services page.

If you want to POP your Yahoo! Mail Plus into Outlook 2002 or 2003, here's how:

From the Tools menu, select "Email Accounts."

Select the radio button next to "Add a new email account" and click the "Next" button.

Select the radio button next to "POP3" and click the "Next" button.

Enter the following information: User Information

Your Name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.

Email Address: Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "user@yahoo.com").

Server Information

Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Login Information

User Name: Enter your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").

Password: Enter your Yahoo! password.

Do not check the box next to "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)."

Click the "More Settings" box and select the "Outgoing Server" tab.

Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

Click the “Advanced” tab.

Under “Incoming Server (POP3)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". The port number in the “Incoming Server (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn’t, make sure the port number is set to 995.

Under “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Enter port number “465” in the “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” field.

If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, don't check the box.

Click the "OK" button.

Click the "Next" button on the Email Account Wizard, then click "Finished."

Troubleshooting instructions.

If you followed the above configuration steps, you should be all set. However, if you cannot send or receive mail with your email client, try the following tips.

The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server requires authentication. Make sure you have enabled SMTP authentication. To turn this setting on, follow these steps:

Click "Tools," then select "Email Accounts."

Select "View or change existing email accounts" and click "Next."

Select your Yahoo! Mail account and click the "Change" button on the right.

Click the "More Settings..." button in the bottom-right corner of the Email Accounts window.

In the Internet Email Settings window, click the "Outgoing Server" tab. Ensure that the box is checked next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

Click the "Advanced" tab and ensure that you have not selected "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" under the incoming (POP3) or outgoing (SMTP) port settings.

To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail Server, follow these steps:

From the Tools menu, choose "Email Accounts."

Select the radio button next to "Edit an existing account" and click the "Next" button.

Double-click the Yahoo! account.

Select the "Advanced" tab.

In the Delivery section at the bottom of the window, check "Leave a copy of messages on server" if you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on both the Yahoo! Mail server and on your local computer. If you want your messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! Mail server after you have received them in Outlook, do not check this box.

We strongly recommend that you enable SSL for both POP and SMTP, as detailed in the above instructions. This will ensure that your Yahoo! ID, password and email messages are transmitted securely between your mail client and the Yahoo! servers. However, if you choose to not use SSL for SMTP, your email client will likely default the SMTP port to 25. If your ISP blocks port 25 or if you're unable to send email, then you will need to use port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. To make this change, please follow the directions below:

From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts"

Select your Yahoo! POP account and click on the "Properties" button

Click on the "Advanced" tab

Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP), change port 25 to 587

Click "Apply", then click "OK" and "Close" $
Reply:Yes, you can configure your yahoo account to MS Outlook provided that you have the premium Yahoo account not the free one because the free one is not supporting POP

Is gmail better than hotmail?

for space and organizing
Is gmail better than hotmail?
Yes. Gmail provides way more features than hotmail: Gmail has 2 GB of mail storage, where hotmail only has 250 MB. Gmail also gives you free pop access, so you can use an email program like outlook to check your messages. If you want pop access with hotmail, you need to pay for it.
Reply:absolutely.
Reply:I'd say GMail is the best free e-mail service available.

You get tons of space and free POP access (for e-mail programs like Outlook or Thunderbird). Organization with it is a breeze, also. And it's not slow like the new Yahoo! webmail service, and the spam filters are fully functional, unlike Hotmail's broken filters.
Reply:Yes, much better..
Reply:It is all a matter of personnal preference.
Reply:yes yes yes
Reply:BY A MILE. I have always found hotmail to be irritating at best but Gmail makes life very easy plus the space they give you is huge.

All conversations back and forth are grouped for easy reference and once loaded Gmail switches between folders very quickly.

I love it
Reply:I like gmail for it being simple, but it has NO folders. Sorry, I'm old school and love everything separate and easily browsed.
Reply:Yes. About 1000% better in fact. Gmail gives you 10 times the space and has a much better interface.
Reply:I look at it this way Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL.

hotmail is easy just go to the web site and make sure you are logged out of your account. Then just like you are new user create a new one.

Gmail is about the same but probably easier just send an invite (its on the left side under your contacts) send yourself the invite, click the link that is sent and sign up.

I have 1 hotmail account. 2 google (maybe 3) 1 yahoo.

You just sign up again like you were "new"

Gmail and/or Hotmail question?

Is there a feature on gmail, or hotmail where I can set it up, so when someone receives (opens) an email I sent, that I can get a message, saying that they have read it. If so, how can I set this up. Thanks.
Gmail and/or Hotmail question?
Sorry. But the answer is "no" for both gmail and hotmail.
Reply:That is a return recipt. Look on the help file for return recipt
Reply:Not in gmail. I'm not sure of hotmail, because I don't use it.
Reply:you can use gmail as a free pop3 email address and then use outlook or outlook express as your email program. then inside of these email programs you can set it up for all emails to have a read receipt or just one or two individually.
Reply:Sorry.. Gmail does not have a "return receipt" option at this time.
Reply:I have not seen this feature in the setting for Gmail. But you can configure your gmail in an Mail client like outlook/outlook express and enable sent mail confirmation feature.

It offers free POP mail which yahoo dont, you can chat with the person whom u just emailed, other than sending many mails, waiting for reply! configure using MS outlook or outlook express and enjoy the mails in your computer, labelling, listing of all mails in one (you don have to search for all this guys previous mails, as it will be listed below the latest one, and you just have to click), offline messages in gmail to any user who is added in your address book and chat...........if I continue saying, I have the materials to talk for a full day! Hotmail sucks, they think all users who use it is dum!

I cannot send email from yahoo, hotmail or gmail, all i get is postmaster error ..blah blah?
It means that the incomming server information in the account is wrong. You have the server set to 127.0.0.1 which is the local machine. That isn't right.

It could be that anti-spam software reset it. They do that because they use themselves as a proxy and that means you email program uses the local host as the server, then the spam software relays it out.

You either need to fix it in your email program or the spam software.
Reply:the person you are sending it too is not a real e-mail adress

Reply:Ckeck the address mate. Gmail, Yahoo %26amp; Cannot all be wrong.

If you have any mail from the person whom you wish to send the mail to, go to it and try reply instead.
Reply:I think it probably has something to do with the size of the picture file that you are sending. If you can usally send normal mail to the address then it is definitly the size of the file. Make sure that the address is correct. What you can do is send it one at a time if it is more than one picture. Send it just like that . Without words i mean.
Reply:The pictures you are trying to send should be in JPEG/GIF format. The size of the email alongwith picture files, must be less than 10MB. Try it now, if this do not works, than ask me, I will try to guide you..........

Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail.....Mail.com?

Why is there so many email servers? Its hard for me to choose between yahoo, hotmail, and gmail. But later I found mail.com which is as simple as having your email with ending with @mail.com. Its very simple than having wierd names as yahoo or hotmail. Just plain @mail. Why dont we all have that? Like since this is mail and we send mail we all just have example@mail.com? Am I just thinking too much about it or is this true. I also want to use the windows mail on the start menu which seems pretty simple. Theres internet and email. so is the idea of just having a simple mail.com email address Okay to have or should I go with yahoo, hotmail, and gmail?
Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail.....Mail.com?
Well I went with all of them. Different things for each address. Mail.com might put a limit on you if you get an address there.

Try Mail2world - 40 megs a day limit receiving. Unlimited sized email box.

On gmail, can you chat with other websites such as yahoo and hotmail?

Hotmail or Gmail?

I am making a new email account with my real name in it, so I currently have hotmail, but I was thinkign maybe I should get gmail or I can use hotmail or even live.com.au

Which email service do you think I should get and why?
Hotmail or Gmail?
Depends on what you want. Gmail, which I have, offers an incredible amount of storage space, but not the most aesthetic interface. Hotmail however, looks pretty good, but it has a lot of ads and such. Gmail has no ads, and is a much faster email client.

One more thing. If you're concerned about the privacy of the emails you send. Google keeps every email the users send or receive, even after you delete them. You might have a privacy issue here.

Also, a positive about Gmail. Gmail has the best spam filter of any client. I never have spam delivered to my inbox, but my junk inbox has thousands of messages in it weekly. So think about those couple of points.

Hope to have helped :)

Is there a way to transfer my hotmail e-mails into Gmail?

Hello there!

This is my first post/thread in my life on Yahoo Answers :D

Is there a way I can transfer all my e-mails into my Gmail account..?

So if I get an E-mail in my @Hotmail.com account, I go into my @Gmail.com account and it's there

(Reason I want this: I cannot use the @Hotmail.com account on the Mail App for my iPod Touch, Unless I pay for it)

Thanks for the help
Is there a way to transfer my hotmail e-mails into Gmail?
Gmail can only export it does not have import capabilities like Outlook or Thunderbird 2. You can however, import both these account into Outlook, Thunderbird, AppleMail, and others including iPhone.

The down side is that you can not send outgoing without signing in to Gmail or Hotmail.

Check out the source doc from Gmail.

Hope this helps.

Yahoo!mail , Hotmail , or Gmail ?

I have em all and prefer Gmail for feature rich apps.
Yahoo!mail , Hotmail , or Gmail ?
I'm not a fan of Hotmail and didn't like it when I had it.

Yahoo! has a lot of features for users.

Gmail is developing more features for its users.

Gmail is definitely creating competition for Yahoo! I prefer Gmail but Yahoo! isn't that bad (especially if they get rid of their ads. Although, I do have Firefox's adblock extension which eliminates them anyway.).
Reply:Unfortunately sometimes you need all 3

1. Gmail for personal e-mail, it's cool gadgets, calendar, spreadsheets, etc... It's always getting better, and it's great at keeping messages together.

2. Yahoo because then you can log into sites like this :)

3. Hotmail - love to hate, but sometimes you need a .NET login or a place to send junk mail
Reply:Yahoo mail is only worth having if you pay the $20 per year for Mail Plus. Gmail rocks. Hotmail is utter, utter rubbish.

Reply:Yahoo is the best. I travel the world on business and never take a laptop with me. I can check my email and send email from anywhere in the world. I have never had any problems, never ever! I received an invitation for gmail, but never joined. I do not like something that is by invitation only. With yahoo, it is easy and simple to get one or many different accounts, and so verey easy to use. Wahoo for Yahoo. (Hotmail is yucky and excite mail sucks.)

For one, it's not as buggy as the others. For another, it's easy to search through past messages.

And ... Gmail lets you forward all messages to another address. I have a number of different addresses for different things I do online. So I set all my Gmail accounts to send all messages received to one AOL account, and I just look at them there. They just pop up in the AOL screen as they come in, and make a little popping noise so I know they're there. There usually isn't much of a delay with the forwarding. And if I need to reply to something, I just log into that particular account.

Uggggrrrrrh! I have to keep the msn (hotmail) for business. But it's so frustrating.

Well, it's not MSN Hotmail anymore.

It's now called Windows Live.

Personally, I love Live Hotmail a whole lot better. It works, spam protection works, simple to use, and I love it.

You can now get @live.com addresses. They're very short, and it's cool.

Are you talking about MSN Messenger? That's also now called WLM (Windows Live Messenger). As far as I know, you can only use Microsoft e-mail addresses. Sorry.

Which is more secure, hotmail, yahoo or Gmail?

For techies out there, is Outlook Express using my computer and my local service provider e-mail more secure than using hotmail, yahoo , Gmail?

Next, which is more secure, hotmail, yahoo mail, or Gmail?

I'm quite concerned with the security issues.
Which is more secure, hotmail, yahoo or Gmail?
No. Yahoo Email is consider as the most secure Email program. It does help when you make sure you have an Email Anti-Virus program to Scan attachments.

My Online Protection package has the Norton Email Scanner in it and has alerted me to many infection attempts. I also use a program called Cyberhawk. It does not scan the email but will stop any infection attempt that Norton misses. This has happened 7 times over the last 6 months or so. Norton was not updated to recognize new Trojans in the Attachments. Cyberhawk uses a different system to recognize Malware and blocks it from dowloading and installing. If it does install Cyberhawk is able to remove it. It need to be used with your AV and AS program to provide maximum protection. And, it is Free.

Reply:most all of the free service email's use a secure encrypted login, which is secure. If you are using those it is best to use Firefox, it is relatively new on the market of browsers, fast, user friendly and very customizeable. The are always coming up with new updates for Firefox to keep those pesky hackers from learning loopholes.

if you are running a firewall you shouldn't have to worry about being port scanned or anything of that nature either, and windows comes with a built in firewall.

Reply:I think yahoo mail is the best, but they're all probably pretty much the same.
Reply:Definitely gmail. Hotmail is just horrible.
Reply:Certainly Google.

Google has more services; in additional to Gmail, you can chat in your mail account as the same time you read your mails. And all chats are saved automatically to be read again later to remember sweet memories ...!!

Also you can save your Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations. This service enables you to read mail attachments without needing Word, Excel or PowerPoint and automatically saves backups of them.

And Only in Gmail you can put One mail in Saveral Folders; in Yahoo or MSN you can put One mail only in One folder.

Try it ...
Reply:Gmail is the best. It's quick and has a very easy and simplistic interface. It also has integrated chat (complete with chat conversation logging), voice-mail, and many option for customizing your email searches.
Reply:Gmail. 100% of my spam (I get hundreds a day) get filtered correctly. Plus the new Gmail version is great, there is no loading time when you click an email. It opens instantly.
Reply:yahoo is for play. hotmail is better for handing emails. gmail has all the fun bells and whistle like language translator and a wonder calendar with clever reminders and man y other things.
Reply:hotmail
Reply:yahoo?
Reply:gmail. it's much less complicated and is faster to access. gmail you can set your login info to never expire, that way anytime you type in gmail.com, it will bring you directly to your inbox. very simple. hotmail you have so much security that you have to pass and different pages to navigate through. gmail is very straightforward. hotmails not complicated, just a pain in the ***.

Reply:i'm a teen too and i've HAD a few hotmail accounts but i've always preferred gmail. it's good for sending/receiving files since their space is practically unlimited. yahoo's always good but you already have that.
Reply:Hotmail you can use on MSN Messneger. Gmail doesn't have an IM.
Reply:Gmail is better. I very rarely, if ever, get spam or junk with gmail, but with hotmail-- it's an everyday occurrence. I no longer use the hotmail account, actually, because I got so tired of the porno junk emails.
Reply:My order of priority:

1. yahoo

2.gmail

3.hotmail (seems to be slow)
Reply:its your choice buti recomend hotmail :D
Reply:while gmail has that certain 'g' to it, i think hotmail is just that little bit hotter
Reply:Next to Yahoo - Gmail.
Reply:I have yahoo, gmail, and hotmail and so far gmail is the best because it is easy to use and has a TON of space! It's also quite compatible with macs.
Reply:hotmail is the best, it has the most storage 5GB and has the most features
Reply:I like gmail the best. Better spam filter and cleaner interface. But the best reason is the use of "labels" to organize mail instead of folders. That way, you can attach several labels to a mail message so you can locate them more easily later on. With folders, you can put each message into one folder only, and can't have one message go into several folders at the same time.
Reply:god, this is such an easy question.

If you've actually used both for any period of time, you'd realize that Gmail has so much more functionality that any other mail program....period.

I've set up "hundreds" of them for people all over the world, and I don't get a red cent from Google!

I have dozens of people I talk with for FREE right through my gmail account, as well, the sound quality is better than Skype or any VoIP service I've used, it's free, and it's built right in.

In one gmail account I have, I can "Send" email from over 20 different email addresses! So to the receiver, they never know it's a Gmail account, it comes out as one of my own URL addresses, and it's all stored inside this one gmail account.

Don't get me started on Google Documents now, another built-in feature....lol

Honest, I don't work for Google ;)
Reply:Having been a Hotmail and Yahoo mail user for over 6 years, I can safely say Gmail is the best Free Webmail service you'll find!

Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, Google, GMAIL?

I'm really stuck. I love all these e;mailing services, Yahoo, Gmail, and Hotmail. But it gets really confusing for me, and people who I try to give me e;mail address to. I'm trying to decide between these three. Which ones do you guys reccomend, and why? I really need to pick soon, cause my site launched and you won't beleive the overload of e;mail wantings! Please write back,

.;jacob:.
Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, Google, GMAIL?
I'll tell you what I do. I have all three of these services as well and each one has its ups and downs.

I use a sort of three-tiered system. My Yahoo! e-mail is used for, well, everything. If I want to sign up for something or if I want to get some newsletters from somewhere, I just send them right on down to Yahoo!. It's sort of like a giant spam folder for me...

Then I have Hotmail. I use this for friends and family. If I need to give my e-mail address for friends or family, I just give this one out to them and that's that!

G-Mail I use for strictly business. If I have some sort of meeting or some important school event, I give this to that person. Strictly business.

Now you can switch around the uses for each one as you choose based on what you like most!

P.S. I also just use Windows Live Mail as my e-mail client. It gathers all three of my e-mail accounts into a central location on my desktop so they're all easy to check inside a single program.
Reply:i like hotmail better because gmail is boring and yahoo sends email really slow and recieve emails really slowly! Report Abuse

Reply:I also prefer Hotmail. the Quick Add pane on the web version is super handy when composing e-mails. Report Abuse

Reply:Yep, the new Hotmail has been really much improved since the old days of MSN. Spam practically never reaches my inbox. Report Abuse

Reply:I agree with Toby.

%26gt; If you have junk mail is your MSN/Hotmail accounts and have configured GMail to collect mail from the MSN/Hotmail account, ALL the spam/junk will be left behind (as long as they are NOT in your inbox).

%26gt; ALL collected mail from MSN/Hotmail inbox will be stored in the Inbox of GMail - There you can label and automatically filter any incoming mail to a specific folder.

%26gt; From experience, now my Gmail account is Spam-free :D

Edit: You can set GMail to set a chosen email, when you send an email to be shown as either your MSN/Hotmail or Yahoo account.

%26gt; Yahoo Mail I leave from Y!A
Reply:GMail for this reason: Unlike all the other e-mail services, GMail allows you to do the following for free:

1. Forward all e-mail sent to your GMail account to another e-mail address.

2. Check your e-mail with a regular e-mail client like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.
Reply:Yahoo...obviously, I had hot mail and seemed to get more junk mail than I could stomach. Yahoo is friendlier and the filters do a good job.

10 reasons to use Gmail

Gmail makes email easy and efficient. And maybe even fun.

1. You don't like spam. Neither do we.

Don't waste time with junk mail and unwanted messages. Gmail blocks spam before it gets to your inbox. If an unwanted message ever finds its way through, you can fight back by reporting it and help make our spam filters even better. Learn more

Watch a video to see how we combat spam.

2. Search your mail instantly

Use Google search within Gmail to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received. You don't have to spend time sorting your email, just search for a message when you need it and we'll find it for you.

3. Organize replies into conversations

With Gmail, each message you send is grouped with all the responses you receive. This conversation view continues to grow as new replies arrive, so you can always see your messages in context.

4. Built-in chat: text, voice, or video

With just one click, you can chat in Gmail with the people you already email or reply to emails by chat. You can even talk face to face with Gmail voice and video chat. All you need is a webcam and a small download that takes seconds to install.

5. Labels, filters, and stars...oh my!

Gmail uses labels to help you organize with more flexibility. A conversation can have several labels, so you're not forced to choose one particular folder for messages. You can also create filters to automatically manage incoming mail. Starring messages is another way you can organize your inbox. Plus, it looks pretty.

6. Get your mail on the go

The days of needing your computer to get to your inbox are long gone. You can now use Gmail on your mobile device to access your email from anywhere.

7. Lots of space (and counting)

We're always working to increase the amount of free storage we offer in Gmail, and if you want even more, you can always purchase additional space. With all that space, you can archive instead of deleting messages, so they won't clutter your inbox but will remain searchable in case you ever need them again.

8. We have ads, but only the good kind

With Gmail, you'll never see pop-ups or untargeted banner ads. Instead we display text ads and related links you might find useful and interesting. Learn more about how seriously we protect your privacy.

9. Save time

Take advantage of Quick Contacts and Keyboard Shortcuts in Gmail to get through your email even faster. And don't forget that you can quickly find messages using Gmail's search feature powered by Google search technology.

10. All this is free?

Yep.

Help! My E-Mails, Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail ALL can't work!?

All of my emails, be it Yahoo!, Hotmail or Gmail, all CANNOT work! All I get is HTTP 400 or Bad Request. I have tried reinstalling my internet, and deleting my cookies, but it still remains unworkable. Also, I can't access www.msn.com, but www.yahoo.com works fine.
Help! My E-Mails, Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail ALL can't work!?
Nohara ... It sounds like you're not able to connect to ANYthing. Have I misunderstood your information? If you cannot access anything on the Internet, then it's not an e-mail problem ... You have a network connection problem. Perhaps you've not searched in the right places for solutions.

Perhaps you should try to re-install the network set-up utility provided by your Internet service provider. I hope that helps. Good luck.

Reply:i had this problem few days ago. If you are in Asia near Taiwan, then i'm afraid that ur internet connection are interrupted by the Taiwan's earthquake. So just for a few days then u will be able to use it again. goodluck!

Which email? (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.)?

I am sick of wierd adresses that send me popups and spam!! I heard of a lot of good ones like gmail, but I want to know what would be easy to organize, easy to access, one that is reliable and one that I can access from my mobile phone.
Which email? (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.)?
gmail of course...those that know....know
Reply:I have a yahoo and a gmail and like the gmail better - does a better job with spam. Don't know about the mobile phone stuff though.
Reply:Gmail is awesome for the free email accounts. But if you use a high speed internet through cox or somewhere, you should use theirs.
Reply:Yahoo! I tried several different emails and Yahoo has always worked perfect for me.
Reply:http://www.gmail.com is by far the best.

The site is clean and faster to load than almost any other web page. You don't want to be waiting for some picture of britney spears to open when you are trying to check your mail!

They have just relised a new mobile app too which works brilliantly.

Over 6515mb of storage space and counting.......!

user friendly and easy to use.
Reply:i use yahoo, the classic view is very accesible from mobile phones. i have never bothered to organise my emails, i currently have like 2000+ emails in my yahoo inbox. most are not spam. i would say about 1/25 is spam now, probably because i have signed up to more sites using that email address
Reply:YAHOOOOOOOO!
Reply:I use yahoo, hotmail, and gmail.

Gmail is the best! I can send attachments VERY easily... hotmail sucks for attachments. Also you can copy and paste on gmail... until recently I couldn't do this on hotmail.

There are a few features on gmail that I find annoying, like when you reply to a message, I don't like how you view it. Either way, I LOVE gmail. It is also very fast.
Reply:the best one is always the gmail.........

it fights spam, gives a good storage space and the site is never down
Reply:Gmail is the best, followed by yahoo
Reply:MSN Hotmail is good its easy to organise and access from your mobile Phone.
Reply:Gmail is nice. Of course you can't use Y!answers with gmail :P

I'd open a new yahoo! account and a gmail account.
Reply:i av always used hotmail n neva had a prob hun x
Reply:yahoo, msn, and gmail all offer access by phone.

I like gmail because of it's easy search feature, simple login, and easy organization feature. It's also very intuitive, and for massive functions like selecting all emails and marking them as read, it's fast.

Gmail is FAST, compared to yahoo and msn.
Reply:G-mail. I like it because you can actually have a live chat in a little window with someone if they are online checking their e-mail also. (otherwise it's just regular e-mail like yahoo or msn.)
Reply:well, first thing you need to do is setup 2 adresses with 2 sites.say yahoo and gmail.

Give one of the accounts to official use, i.e good sites.. and other one to register for crappy..silly....sites..

So, you will get spam only in one mail ... and can see imp ones in other. Generally I use gmail for official and yahoo for casual use.
Reply:gmail, fosho

Hey I am answering the question I get NO pop ups or spam if you don't like AOL don't use it. Get a life weird thumbs down people.

Gmail, yahoo or hotmail which is the best?

1. Gmail

2. Yahoo!

3. hotmail
Gmail, yahoo or hotmail which is the best?
gmail used to be good until it changed it policy where everyone can sign up, so now it's nothing but spammers signing up. For the most part, gmail has pretty fairly good in sorting out spam mail from regular e-mail.

Yahoo mail is okay, but like gmail, it's got nothing but spammers signing up. It doesn't do that well of a job finding spammers, so expect to see spam mail in your inbox.

I don't even bother with Hotmail since you have to link it to just about everything, like that passport.net.
Reply:well i thnk you should have either yahoo. because of its unlimited storage space, also its easy to navigate around the site.

Then gmail. because gmail is made by google. and google is the largest search engine, so it has some good stuff that other emails wouldnt have

Then hotmail. because hotmail has the largest number of users. Its true. but they are slowly dying out so i wouldnt go with them.

When will Yahaoo join Hotmail and GMail and allow you to use Outlook as mail client for free mail accounts?

I REALLY need to use Outlook, Outlook Express or Entourage (MAC) as one of my mail clients; and I enjoy the services of Yahoo Mail (...except for the non-use of an e-mail client). IF Yahoo Mail allowed use of a e-mail client, it would shoot to the top of free e-mail providers (better than Hotmail, GMail, etc).
When will Yahaoo join Hotmail and GMail and allow you to use Outlook as mail client for free mail accounts?
I agree, it would be so much easier for everyone.

Hotmail aol gmail yahoo or google?
I have even more mailboxes than that, but it is difficult to choose between yahoo and gmail, the gmail is quick and their is no troubles with advertises i use it also in my nokia95; the yahoo is infact the same as gmail but they border with advertises. And then for my Nokia95 i prefer the yahoo it is quicker intheir, infact in can not choose on those two.

For me yahoo and gmail both on the top.

Infact for mail-attachements i prefer Yahoo in the Nokia95.

What other kinds of emails are there besides hotmail, yahoo, and gmail?

You mean free e-mail?

That about covers it.

pls help me.? %26amp; thanks in advance.
Can any body tell how can sent a mail from yahoo, gmail or hotmail with attached Images?
If I have understood your question correctly, then I think the answer would be as follows: You were trying blocking (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C) or by right click and copy and then paste (Ctrl+V) and it did not work.

I found the following options from Search in Y!A:

1. You can try saving and sending email in HTML format. Then you can copy the picture from the web site and paste onto the body of your email or your signature. This method will not work using the Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. Note: Photos that are based on your computer will not copy and paste in most email providers mail.

2. Another option is host the desired pictures in any one of the following hosting sites (there are many):

http://www.flickr.com/

http://photobucket.com/

http://fotopic.net/

http://www.snapfish.com/info17

www.imageshack.us

These sites would let you upload your picture and store in their server without any charge. Now, copy the coded link of that picture and paste/write it into your compose box of the e-mail where you would like that very picture to be set or seen. The mail will look like

%26lt;img src="URL"%26gt; the url means, link name of your picture e.g http://www.photobucket.com/yourname/pict... be sure to put the %26lt;img%26gt; tag and enclose within that.

Hope above helps!

You can attach images. Simply go to compose. Attach files. Clcik on borowse. Add pictures which are on ur computer. Simple

If u need any help simply email me

How do you create a non-public domain email? (not yahoo, hotmail or gmail)?

As in you want your own domain --- like whatever@titaniumt.com?

you have to purchase your own domain somewhere --- i suggest godaddy.com (this costs about 7$)

then you have to host it somewhere -- (you get the name then you have to have space to have it somewhere) -- i suggest bluehost.com (this costs about 7$ a month)

then bluehost makes it really really easy to set up an email account and they have instructions on how to do it --

if you are wondering - there is no free service for your own domain unless you get a .tk (versus .com) but i dont think they will let you have email

If so, how?
Can I redirect my Hotmail emails to my Gmail account?
This is not possible as Windows Live (MSN) don't allow external POP access which is needed for external websites to get messages from the Windows live server.

Like some of the other people have suggested, you could forward the messages manually or use Outlook to recieve your messages.

Hope this helps you

Any of the above accounts you listed that have free e-mail service. They use the 'free' E-mail ID to identify their clients.

Yes, that includes Yahoo, G-Mail,Hot-maill, and any other that does not charge for the service.

Put any of these names in your browser and it will bring up the information to open an account. The one listed above, may not be what you are looking for.

Problem with ADSL connection! I can not enter my Gmail and Hotmail accounts!?

Hi,

I use ADSL connection from about 6 months ago. Recently I can not enter my Gmail and Hotmail accounts, my Outlook doesn鈥檛 work, I can enter my account in Yahoo Answers but I can not ask or answer, I can enter my web hosting account but I can not upload any file on my website. It is surprising that I don鈥檛 have such problems when viewing other web sites!

I call my internet provider and they checked my status and told they could not find any problem and anything is ok with my connection!

What should I do? Do you have any comment to solve my problem?

Notice: When I use Dialup service I don鈥檛 have any the same problems. My problems occur just with my ADSL connection. I turned off my Firewall, deleted my cookies,.. but no good result.

Windows Vista Home Premium having problems with Gmail and Hotmail?

I am using HP Pavillion d6000 with Windows Vista Premium. I facing difficulties when i try to logon on to Gmail and Hotmail accounts. Usually I cant logon to Gmail easily and by excessive tries i somehow manage to login then I face problems with using my mail box.. and usually it says "Oops... a server error occurred and your email was not sent. I am using Mcafee Security Centre and I have uninstalled the firewall part already coz I heard it may be the problem creator.

I also refreshed the cookies portion of Firefox 3.0.5, but none of my browsers work with mail sites.
